Privacy Policy

Last updated 30 July 2026

Before you publish This is a starting template for a static, no-account site. Replace every bracketed placeholder, and have a lawyer review it — this page concerns child health, which raises the stakes on both accuracy and liability. It is not legal advice.

The short version

This site does not collect personal information. There are no accounts, no sign-ups, no forms, no comments, and no tracking cookies. The search box runs entirely inside your browser — what you type is never sent anywhere.

What the site itself stores

Nothing. The page is a single static file. It sets no cookies, uses no local storage, and loads no third-party fonts, scripts, or analytics.

The food filter is implemented in JavaScript that runs on your device. Your search terms are not transmitted, logged, or retained.

What our host processes

This site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. To deliver pages and protect against attacks, Cloudflare automatically processes limited technical data, which typically includes:

  • Your IP address
  • Browser and device type (user agent)
  • The page requested and the time of the request
  • Approximate location derived from IP, at country level

We do not have access to an individually identifiable log of your visit, and we do not attempt to identify visitors. This processing is governed by Cloudflare's own privacy terms. See Cloudflare's privacy policy (opens in a new tab).

If you add analytics later, this section must be updated to say what is collected and why.

Links to other sites

This site links out to research organisations, government agencies, and news outlets so you can verify claims at the source. Once you follow a link, you are on someone else's site under their privacy policy, not this one.

One source we link to — the Lead Safe Mama Safer Choices list — contains affiliate links to retailers. We receive nothing from those links and have no commercial relationship with that project, any retailer, or any brand named on this site. We disclose it because you should know it exists when you read that list.

Children's privacy

This site is written for parents and caregivers. It is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children under 13.

Your rights

Because we hold no personal data about you, there is nothing to access, correct, export, or delete. If you believe otherwise, contact us at [YOUR-EMAIL] and we will respond.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights under laws such as the GDPR or the CCPA. Those rights attach to personal data held about you; as described above, this site holds none. Requests concerning data processed by our host should be directed to Cloudflare.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top of the page will change with it. Material changes will be described here rather than made silently.
